About Dr. Jorden Weiss
Dr. Jorden Weiss is a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist who is in private practice in Columbus, Ohio. He is founder and CEO of Alkire Creek Psychiatry, A Center for Growth and Mindfulness and has served formerly as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, Ohio State University/Harding Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Weiss earned his Medical Degree at The University of Osteopathic Medicine and the Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed his internship at Baylor University Medical Center and Timberlawn Psychiatric Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He completed his residency in adult psychiatry at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute in Los Angeles, California and The Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry in Topeka, Kansas. In addition, Dr. Weiss completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry in Topeka, Kansas. Currently Dr. Weiss is a graduate in adult psychoanalysis and an advanced candidate in child psychoanalysis at the Greater Kansas City Institute for Psychoanalysis, in Kansas City, Kansas.
In addition to his participation in numerous psychopharmacology research studies, Dr. Weiss has clinical expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD and co-morbid conditions, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety Disorders and Eating Disorders.
Special areas of interest for Dr. Weiss include the diagnosis and treatment of Autistic Spectrum Disorders, including Aspergers Syndrome, Eating Disorders and the teaching and practice of psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis.
